About Us

As beekeepers, artists, and mead-makers, we are deeply appreciative of Nature’s wonders.

In honor of Nature’s gifts, we hone our crafts within the “Golden Triangle” — the special relationship between plants, bees, and humans.

Yuki and Erika, from Japan, own and operate Mānoa Honey & Mead which was originally founded in Mānoa Valley in the late 90’s.

Since our 2014 inception, we have put our passion into producing the finest products. Now, we have expanded into a full line-up of raw honey to specialty hive products and proudly being O'ahu's one-and-only craft mead producer.

Our Bees,
Our Honey

Our raw Hawaiian honeys are created from the elements of paradise. Lush tropical flowers, island sunshine, gentle showers, and mauka rainbows — all contribute to their unique taste. Our honey is harvested from the unique flora of Hawaiian island chain. Chritmas Berry blossoms from the North Shore, Ohia Lehua from Puna, Big Island, Macadamia blossom from Kau, Big Island. Every apiary has unique flora that offers special and distinguished honey flavors.

We harvest fresh bee pollen daily in central O’ahu.

Our Mead

In 2020, in the midst of global pandemic, we launched our first batch of mead to the local Hawaii market.

We use Hawaiian honey and tropical fruits to make mead that is crisp, fruity and refreshing with light bubbles. Perfect to enjoy in the hot and humid Hawaiian climate.

We are currently the only meadery on O'ahu, and one of the few mead producers who use own honey to craft the mead.

Our Team

We are a small, family-owned-and-operated beekeeping company with a team of beekeepers and honey house crew, working hard every day – just like bees!

Our goal is to express the beauty of the special relationship between plants, bees, and mankind – the "Golden Triangle”  – through our products, crafts, art and services.
