Manoa Honey Company

Mānoa Honey was started in 1989 in O’ahu’s Mānoa Valley.  Since its inception, we have put our very best efforts and passion into producing the finest honey, mead, as well as specialty hive products.

Honeybees make honey, one of the world’s most delicious and nutritious sweeteners, but they also play a very important role in the food chain.  Bees are one of the most important pollinators, not only to cultivated crops but also to wild plants which are essential habitat for hundreds of wild creatures.

As beekeepers, artists, and mead-makers, we are deeply appreciative of Nature’s wonders. In honor of Nature’s gifts, we hone our crafts within the “Golden Triangle”— the special relationship between plants, bees, and mankind.

Our Bees

We raise bees all over O’ahu.  One of our apiaries is on the slopes of iconic Diamond Head Crater, where we harvest our Crater Kiawe Honey.  On the other side of the island, our bees forage on Christmas Berry blossoms near the coastline of the North Shore.  The hot, dry west side of O’ahu is a prime location for our White Kiawe Honey.  We harvest fresh bee pollen daily in central O’ahu.  Every apiary has unique flora that creates special and distinguished honey products.

Our Mead

In 2020, we released our first mead, also known as honey wine. We are one of the few mead producers and beekeepers who use our own honey to handcraft our mead. We are proud to introduce our tropical mead to the world, available online.

Our Team

We are a small, family-owned-and-operated beekeeping company with teams of beekeepers and a honey house crew, working hard every day – just like bees!

Our goal is to become a unique, creative resource for our community through our skills and knowledge of beekeeping.  We are passionate about providing the finest products and services here in Hawaii.

Our production facility is located in Wahiawa, where all of our honeys are extracted, bottled and labeled.

Thank you, Mahalo and Arigato to our supporters who are welcoming our bees on their sites!
